Divx and Xvid is a new video compression standard, Divx ( or Xvid) VS DVD  is similar to MP3 VS CD, Use Divx(or Xvid)  standard,  MPEG2  Video  file can be compressed 10 times, but  picture and resolution is almost the same as MPGEG2 (DVD), the player can decode  and playback Divx video file is called Divx player.

Loan DVD disc from DVD rent shop or website and use software converter and compress the  DVD video to MP4 file, such as .AVI file, by this way you can get more compact video file such as one DVD movie, *.VOB file  is 4~4.7G, you can choose to  converter to  MPEG4  Divx or Xvid file (*.AVI),  and choose to compress to 900M~1.2G,  but the picture quality is still very good, of course you also can copy DVD(*.VOB), VCD(*.dat), SVCD(*.mpeg) to HDD Player directly.

2. Downlaod the Movies from internet, most video file is *.rm,*,rmvb,*.wmv,  you can use software converter these file to *,AVI, then you can save in HDD player and playback on TV.

3. Use USB TV box  or tuner  card (recordable) to record TV program to *.mpg  file and coverter to divx/xvid  format  *.AVI file.

Q.How to fix in  Hard disk drive in the HDD Player and make it work?

1.Set your Hard Disk Drive to "Master Mode".

2. Fix in the  Hard Disk.

3. Hard disk drive should be formatted to "FAT32" instead of  "NTFS".

4. Copy video files to the HDD Player via USB port.

For 2.5 inch Divx HDD Player, just use the USB cable connect your HDD Player to the PC, no need external power adaptor. For 3.5 inch divx HDD Player, you have to connect the external power adaptor to your Player, then use USB cable connect your Player to PC.
